KCS students age 12 and up (and parents):

Just like you, we want for this school year to be as normal as possible! We want everyone to remember that COVID-19 is still spreading and we are still following the current guidance (by local, state and national medical professionals) for quarantines. The only way to not have to quarantine is to be fully vaccinated.

The COVID-19 vaccine is FREE and available now at your local pharmacy. Call whichever pharmacy is closest to you and make sure to confirm that they have the Pfizer vaccine (which has been approved for 12 and up). You can also go to vaccinefinder.org and enter your zip code. (Those 12 to 17 years of age will need to select “Pfizer-BioNTech COVID Vaccine” on this webpage.)

Once fully-vaccinated, per CDC guidance, students will not need to quarantine if they come into direct contact with a COVID-19 positive individual. Currently, unvaccinated adults and students who come into contact with a positive individual will need to quarantine for 10 days from the point of contact without testing or 7 days after contact with a negative test result.
